The Sound of (Free-Agency) Silence

Columnist John Oehser, who writes a blog at IndyFootballReport.com, says the Colts' silence as the NFL's free-agency period began last week is good news for fans. Oehser covered the team for Colts.com for eight years before his position was eliminated earlier this year. Now he's struck out on his own. He writes:
The Colts under Polian have stayed away from free agency – the type in which you sign other people's players, anyway. Other people's players typically mean other people's problems, and Polian and the Colts long have believed re-signing their own players – drafting and keeping a core of players whose talents they know and whose personalities they trust – is the way to consistent, long-term success.
Do you agree? You can read Oehser's entire column here.
